WHY IS SEMI-PERMANENT BROW AFTERCARE IMPORTANT?

Good post-treatment care makes up 70% of what ensures your treatment is a success. Please follow to the given aftercare advice, because if you don’t do that, you can lose up to 80% of drawn strokes.

How successful the treatment will be depends on skin quality, post-treatment care and exposure to various external influences.

Healing is usually completed within or up to 28 days,  after that it is necessary to add the pigment that was lost during the healing process. If the skin is problematic and oily, several corrections can be made.

WHAT IS PMU BROW AFTERCARE?

The colour will be darker for up to one week immediately after your brow treatment. Around days 5-8 the colour will get lighter and softer and shape will shrink slightly. Please note colour will vary during healing process (up to 4 weeks), please be patient and trust the healing process. Good aftercare will help with better colour retention and help your brows last longer.

Faster fading out of pigment can happen if the clients use antibiotics or hormonal therapy.

Immediately after:

Be sure to clean the area with a damp cotton oat with medium pressure to remove lymph buildup (clear fluid). Please repeat this every 30 minutes for next 3 hours after procedure.

During healing:

No caffeine it alcohol for 48 hours after procedure.

Do not apply any creams or makeup on your brows for 2 weeks after your treatment.

Do not get your brows wet for 2 weeks from your initial treatment. You can do it after 2 weeks, but only if all of the scabs have come off naturally.

No facials, botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.

No exercise or sweating for one week after the procedure, use a hat if necessary.

Avoid long, hot showers for the first 2 weeks.

Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks after the procedure. Wear a hat if needed whilst outdoors.

No sea or chlorine water for 2 weeks.

Change your pillow case regularly and avoid sleeping on your face for first 2 weeks.

Only touch the area with clean hands during the healing process.

Do not rub, pick or scratch the treated area as the colour may heal unevenly and this can course infection and scarring.

DO I NEED A PATCH TEST AND WHY IT IS SO IMPORTANT?

If you are a NEW CLIENT (never had this particular treatment done by Alesja) you MUST book in for your PATCH TEST ASAP. If you don’t arrange your patch test you risk losing your appointment, your deposit and you will also be charged a cancellations fee. Your patch test has to be done 24-48 hours before your treatment.

Please note even if your patch test has been performed and the result was negative, there is still a risk of reacting to the treatment as patch test results might not be accurate.

We advise you to book your appointment a couple days before any important event in case of an allergic reaction.

DOES IT HURT?

The treatment can be slightly uncomfortable but bearable. It doesn't hurt as such, it is more a sensation. Some clients may experience more swelling and redness than others. Prior to the procedure, a topical anaesthetic will be applied to the brow area to numb the skin (if required). Numbing cream will be provided during the procedure for clients comfort.
